Staff were absolutely friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the guys were on break looked so happy to just take a second and my husband asked for help loading drywall. I felt bad for a second knowing they were going for lunch but it didn’t bother them one bit. Still happy and playful with each other they helped him load and left , not a mean bone in their bodies. Your workers seem truly happy to be there, and enjoy their jobs. It felt like I was walking into a small town hardware store. Honest , good , hard working company and employees ?

We only put five stars because we couldn’t put 10. We bought the material for our deck in 2019 from PoCo Building Supplies. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful and we were happy with our purchase. We had a concern about the quality of the product and re-contacted them late last year. We cannot say enough good things about how we were treated during the process to address our concern. From the first call, Chris, the owner, took our complaint seriously and worked with us to find out that the problem was most likely due to an error in the initial delivery. We later met Dustin, the store manager, and Chris, his staff, who were just as helpful. They were proactive, and kept in contact with us while they worked to find a solution. It is obvious to us that the staff genuinely care about customers and are proud to work with this company. Our expectations were exceeded in every interaction. It is hard to imagine receiving the same type of service in a bigger chain, which is one of the reasons it is important to us to support local, family-run businesses. We highly recommend PoCo Building Supplies and will return!
Good alternative to the big box places. Great selection of things you might need find in those more generic shops. You could build a house by shopping just here.
I can’t recommend POCO Building Supplies enough. Their customer service is second to none… they’ve gone above and beyond in more ways than I can count while helping us get through a large exterior reno. As a homeowner facing a daunting project, their helpfulness was greatly appreciated.We originally came to POCO Building Supplies for a quote on cedar decking. While their price was slightly higher than another quote we received, I was really pleased with how knowledgeable and helpful their staff were. I told them about the other price I’d been quoted, and they matched it! They gained my loyalty then and there, and we’ve used them for all of our remaining reno purchases since then. Jake, the marketing manager, spent a great deal of time helping us choose railing styles and stain colours that work well with our space, giving us advice on finishing techniques, siding options, and even sent a list of trustworthy tradespeople when we found ourselves in a bind for workers.Our railing delivery was another example of a time they went beyond my expectations. We’d ordered a product that was only partially in stock, but Jake new we were trying to get the railings completed in time for a big party we were having. He worked his tail off and pulled strings to find the remaining products in time, and had them couriered to our house at their own expense. We were so thrilled to have a usable deck for our party, because of Jake’s efforts.As a family-run company, they seem to care a lot about making their customers happy and that comes through in a multitude of ways, from competitive pricing to helpful advice. Regardless of your location in the Lower Mainland, I’d recommend making an effort to visit POCO Building Supplies for your projects.
As a non-professional do-it-yourselfer building a deck, the staff at PBS were extremely helpful, and customer service was top notch. Delivery came exactly on schedule. My transaction was done 100% through email, and there were no issues. Communication was always clear. Highly recommend them over big box places like HD.

February 13, 2015 A simple email inquiry turned into a great experience. I had contacted several companies in search of Tigerwood decking and POCO Building Supplies was the only one able to meet my needs. My list of questions was answered quickly, but it was the details in the thoughtful, knowledgeable answers that impressed me most. I was given very good, very real advice on how I could stay within my budget without compromising the look or feel of my project. The price was where it needed to be to make me feel good about my purchase, and delivery was on time, as promised. Our deck project turned out amazing, it looks high-end and my family and I cannot wait for warm weather to enjoy it! What else can I say? I wish we had a POCO Building Supplies in Langley.
