ROXUL COMFORTBOARD ™ 80 is a rigid mineral wool insulation sheathing board that is designed to be fastened to exterior wall studs to improve thermal performance to the building envelope. Advanced technologies make ROXUL COMFORTBOARD a non-combustible, water repellent, fire resistant and sound absorbent insulation product suited to modern building techniques.
City of Vancouver Building Code has recently changed requiring an actual R-22 value on all exterior walls (see detail). ROXUL ComfortBatt Insulation (or equivalent) alone does not meet that value due to thermal bridging caused by studs and other framing materials so the solution is ROXUL ComfortBoard ™ Exterior Sheathing Insulation.
