I've placed my order. How soon can I get it delivered?
Generally, we require 24 hours notice to schedule a delivery.
In some cases, you can place an order and have it delivered the same day.
However – there are factors that may affect order processing and delivery scheduling:
- Special Order Items – some products may take days or even weeks before they are available for delivery
- Large Orders that require time to ‘build’
- Seasonal
IMPORTANT
‘First out’ or early morning deliveries tend to be in highest demand. If you know you are going to have a crew standing by waiting for materials to arrive on-site, plan ahead and place your order with plenty of notice and book a time-slot as far ahead as possible.

LUMBER
What does SPF stand for?
The SPF lumber is a combination of Canadian Spruces, Pines and Firs growing in different regions of the country. All yield high grade timber with relatively small, sound tight knots. Western SPF lumber tend to be available in larger sizes than eastern SPF due to the climate and size of logs. Eastern SPF trees are very slow grown with exceptional strength properties. Lumber produced from spruce-pine-fir species is marketed together as SPF.
What is Board-foot / Board-measure?
A Board-foot is a specialized unit of measure for the volume of lumber in the United States and Canada. It is the volume of a one-foot length of a board one foot wide and one inch thick. Board-foot can be abbreviated FBM (for “foot, board measure”), BDFT, or BF. To calulate Board Measure of a plank use the formula:
Thickness x Width x Length / 12 = FBM
Is your lumber local?
Working with a variety of mills and wholesalers throughout B.C. our SPF Lumber, Western Red Cedar are sourced from mills in Canada. Some Yellow Cedar originates in Canada whereas other logs are sourced from the US. All SPF lumber is stamped and graded and along with our Cedar products are harvested using sustainable forestry practices.
Our range of Hardwood Decking originates from mills in Indonesia (Batu) and South America (Ipe and Tigerwood). All of our hardwoods are Lacey Act compliant and harvested legally under strict forestry guidelines using sustainable practices.
Composite & PVC Decking
Composite vs PVC Decking - which is better?
Both Composite & PVC Decking Products are covered by similar warranties and offer similar low-maintenance performance benefits. Both are easy to install and require relatively little maintenance. Composites (Trex, TimberTech, MoistureShield or Fiberon) contain recycled wood and plastic and are heavier than PVC’s (AZEK or Fiberon), which contain no organic material whatsoever – but therefore more expensive to manufacturer and have a higher price point.
To help you make the right decision about which product is best for you, we have written and informative Blog post on the subject…
Which composite decking brand is better?
Trex, TimberTech, MoistureShield, Azek and Fiberon Decking all offer similar performance benefits when compared to softwoods like Cedar or Pressure Treated Decking. As we supply all of the above brands (and more) we do not determine one to be better than the other.
From our experience, our customers generally carry out their own research to establish which brand they align to, but in more simpler terms, when it comes to selecting the product to lay down on your new deck – more often than not it comes down to price, colour and grain pattern and texture. We have a complete range of samples available in-store, along with product literature, and friendly, helpful advice from our expert staff to help you make the right decision.
How should I clean my Composite or PVC Deck?
Both Composite and PVC Decking offer a range of low-maintenance performance benefits, but in order to keep your new deck clean and safe and to ensure the product performs as intended, it’s important to carry out some seasonal maintenance.
Clean your deck with mild detergent and water, agitating the grain with a medium bristle deck brush that will pull any silt, dirt or mildew from the surface texture.
Rinse with a garden hose and allow to dry naturally. If you choose to use a pressure washer, keep the nozzle at least 12″ from the surface and use a low/medium PSI pressure to avoid damaging the surface.
