We’ve seen some amazing wood projects, but this is quite incredible. A roadworthy VW Beetle, made out of Oak.
Bosnian septuagenarian Momir Bojic (71), spent 2 painstaking years, crafting a completely wooden Volkswagen Beetle from over 50,000 pieces of hand-carved Oak.
Aside from the engine, every external detail of the fully-functioning automobile is made out of wood, including wooden pedals, door mirrors, windshield wipers, steering wheel and even spoked rims for the tires. Amazingly, the car is perfectly capable of cruising, and perhaps less surprisingly – draws crowds wherever it goes. [source]
